Earlier and earlier... why?

I'm neither a morning nor a time conscious person but I have convinced myself somehow and gotten used to waking up early on time at 7am. We leave house in 15 mins time and just in case you don't know, dar dar starts work at 8.30am whereas I start work at 9am. Yes, we are early, partly to reduce the ERP charges and our desire to have our 爱心breakfast together every morning. That's what gives me the drive to wake up early. And another reason that convinced me is that starting work early in office aids in boosting my concentration and allows me to schedule and do my work with less distraction before the clock ticks 9 o'clock.

BUT now I need to wake up much earlier like 645am (alarm clock will go off 10 mins earlier around 635am)so that I can get out of the house on time at 7am. WHY?

All thanks to the 二十四孝parents! They hogged up both the carpark entrances/exits leading to/from my house by driving their kids who are in their TEENS, all the way up to the doorstep of their Secondary School. I can SEE that parents these days can afford to drive as they are more well-to-do, but does that mean you would not love to see your child be more independent and know how to take care of themselves? You so had to drive them to the doorstep?!

To dads and mums out there, they are already in Secondary School for god's sake! Teen boys and girls, do you really need your parents to drive you all the way to the school's doorstep?! Sigh...

So now besides my two main motives, I need to "race" with the parents to get out of the carpark before they enter and block up my only way out of the carpark in order to reach the expressway to go to work! Sigh... I know I can't change these parents' mindset, so I change myself as I will not allow myself to be at their mercy!!!

I do hope these parents wake up someday or is it wishful thinking on my part as such a behaviour will only become more and more pertinent in this society of ours?
