Just married?

Nay, we have been married for 5+ years though some ppl think we don't seem to be married for that long or it's impossible that we are married.. *we are flattered*...

Do we feel that we are just married then?.. Actually, we kinda bypassed that stage cos the day we decided to be together, we felt as if we are soul mates so there is no such stage as "Just Married".. haha.. oops.. ^o^

Whatever it is, outta fun, we decided to make this "Just Married" sign so that we can hang it on our car on The Day! After the day, we let it hang under the easel till this morning. We noticed a flaw on it and lotsa dust on it (which is impossible to clean) so we decided to throw it away..

Bye-bye Mr "Just" and Ms "Married"...

Cooking addiction is back..

I'm starting my favourite cooking and guests-hosting sessions again, partly cos I love cooking and having friends and family over at my place, it's so fun! I have so many ideas, recipes and stuffs I wanna share and enjoy with my friends and family..

Just a week ago, my friends (who enjoyed cooking too) and I prepared dinner together and this weekend, I invited my siblings, princess Elsie and Chloe over for dinner at my place..

Dinner menu

Japanese curry don with spicy chicken wings/scallops
Longan with 7-up
Red wine

Kids' meal

Tofu nuggets (baked)
Carrot and pototo puree with chicken

Didn't know the extent of the foods that the girls can take at this stage, so made puree-style stuffs (to be on the safe side). But was informed that they can take french fries now so my worry was unfounded and I should have prepared a more interesting and nutritous toddler meal for the princesses!... Next time then...
For all of us..

For the kiddos..

This is also the first time the princesses popped by cool-cool-jess place since they moved to their new home 2 months ago! Don't really know if they remember this place, they were just walking around as usual. We wonder if they will ever remember that they stayed at our place before.. hmm...

Oh yes, missed the opportunity to catch up with my other friend who sms-ed me then. Tempted to catch up with her but couldn't.. I also missed my opportunity to catch up with her and other gfs for high tea last Friday.. :(.. sobs.. hope to catch up with her and the rest soon..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before they popped by, dar dar and I made mooncakes together. Our first mooncake-making lesson! Had wanted to do this since the last time I tried the mooncakes made by my fren's mum! "Zheng-Gua-Zi" ones.. You can only get those if you make it yourself! And so I did..
Gave away some to my siblings and in-laws...hee... so far the feedback was good but I feel that there is still room for improvement! Tempted to do it again and I just might since I still have some ingredients left.. :)...
Lele with her parents..
Lele looks different from the last time I saw her and she is at the stage of learning to walk now.
We prepared dinner together, had chocolate fondue and played mahjong..
Lady Luck came by.. hehe...
Picnic @ Sentosa
Aye Soh will be leaving the Chua family soon.. :(.. Hmm.. my first impression of her, she's a pretty and good-natured girl. I'm guilty of complaining the way certain things are handled by her when she stayed with me, though I must say it is not easy accommodating to another person who comes from a different background and upbringing.. but over time, everything went well... Overall, I feel that she is a good domestic helper and I must say my bro and SIL are very fortunate to have met her....
Just when my bro and SIL are more or less comfortable with having her around and have started to trust her, she had to return back home due to personal reasons. Think I will miss having her around, maybe cos she stayed with me for a while afterall...
Knowing that she has never been to the beach, my bro and SIL decided to bring her to Sentosa for picnic and some fun at the beach! We tagged along too...hehe.. Hope she enjoyed the outing...
Aye Soh is the lady in blue...
I enjoyed lots though (as usual).. haha.. I made sandcastles, I saw the way my lovely nieces reacted when they were at the beach, I saw dar dar hugging Chloe to sleep, I revisited the dolphin lagoon and underwater world and I suffered mild sunburns on my back and shoulders...
See the difference?
So where is Myanmar? Do you think we will ever go visit her? Do you think the girls will remember her, Aye Soh dotes on them lots cos she loves little kids..;)..
Drinks..
Finally went for the long awaited drinking session... so happy! ^o^
Poured out.. ready...and
"Cheers!"
We took pics with our mobile phones from different angles to send to Papa Chua Junior! When we think of drinking, we will think of him.. The Chua family likes to drink?!.. Hmmm... I'm selective when it comes to drinking..
I can imagine myself sitting in this wine house, enjoying the aircon, the wine, reading a book or chit-chatting with friends..
Balaclava was a disappointment compared to this place..
Rock Burger
Rock Burger is a new western food eatery at the coffee shop at Blk 681, Hougang Ave 8. The monsieur had Mexican Grilled Chix with baked potato and coleslaw. The madame had Cajun Grilled Chix with mashed potato and olio fusilli. Each set costs S$6.50 so this simple yet delicious dinner cost us 13 bucks.
Senior Papa Tan would certainly disapprove a meal worth that much. But I guess times have changed, not?
V for VAGINA..
How difficult is it to say this word? Why are ppl shy to say the word? You mean you don't come from there?..haha..
I'm no different from most peeps out there cos I was taught it's wrong to say THE word(in another language).. you know lah.. I should have asked why wrong? I think it's not wrong, it just that one would appear uncultivated to others. But tonight, I (and the entire audience) shouted the word loud and clear, not feeling shy at all! It's just a word and a matter of preception..
Well, this is the third installment of THE V(AGINA) CONFERENCE series, starring Irene Ang and co-star Chua En Lai and two new co-stars! This conference never fails to entertain me and the topics of discussion are interesting as it associates with real issues around us. I can imagine myself catching the 4th installment when it happens..
Now, I'm looking forward to another standup comedy coming up in a month's time!...
Rider's Cafe & Skinny Pizza
I was elated when my bro and SIL asked us if we wanna have breakfast together at Rider's Cafe! Cutie pie Elsie and Chloe will be there too! Coincidentally, it was my one week break from my french class at AF, so the timing was just perfect and of course, I did not decline!..:)..
The breakfast was as delicious as it looks! The price was reasonable too! And as the name suggest, it's for the Riders as in horse riders so we'll see horses trotting by on and off. Non Riders are welcome too! I'm hoping to return to the place again for breakfast or even for other meals of the day.. and also find a day to check out Mimolette which is just nearby!
Over breakfast, we were talking about Go! Go! Bambini! and I thought we were going right after breakfast.. haha.. naive moi! We didn't have the time cos we need to go back home for a holy session organised by Papa Chua. And so after breakfast, we proceeded home. I've got a secret which I'm going to tell no one.. sssshhh...heehee..heehee...
Oh well, the holy session was good workout, my butt and thighs were aching the following day from all the ups and downs!... Oops, I know that I've got the whole meaning wrong but I seriously feel that someone should decipher every single verse that was chanted to me so that it makes total sense.. Sorry..Makes me wonder how many ppl really know the meaning of all the verse..
The following day, my bro and SIL brought Elsie and Chloe to the place! But I couldn't make it cos it was too last minute and I've arranged for movie outing with my parents and sister. Guess it would be less likely that I'll pop by cos I don't have the "passport" and will seem out of place?.. hmm.. nvm.. :)..
Ended the Saturday with skinny pizza dinner at Suntec and mj! Lady Luck seemed to have forsaken me! Lost money everytime I played mj! Lady Luck, pls come back or are you trying to tell me something? Hmm...pls be explicit! I don't like guessing games.. The skinny pizza was too skinny for me but I like the sweet corn crab soup. It's perhaps the only thing I will have if I revisit the eatery.. Enjoyable but tiring day!
Psst: I'm too lazy to post pictures, it's just too time consuming!
