My balance..

Recently, been really caught up with work that killed all my mood for anything.. not healthy at all so I was determined to find the balance that works for me..and yes, it's found..

Wakey-Wakey~exercise(try to)~Bfast~Start work~Break for lunch~Get back to work~Knock off (pack some work back)~Break for exercise (a must do if morning exercise didn't happen/dinner with my SO, family or friends~Work(try to)~Sleep (at least 7-8hours rest)..

Work wise, time management is crucial! The plan~Admin time in the morning and before knocking off~Check voicemails/return calls 2 times a day~Strike items off my daily To-do lists.. In between, of course to do work proper..

Work is neverending so everyone should try to find the balance that suits the lifestyle you want.. easier said than done but no one can't do it!

"Work out that balance and BE DETERMINED TO STICK BY IT otherwise you will lose your balance!"

A lot simpler...

Everything about dar dar's birthday for this year was alot simpler mainly cos Ms Ulcer popped by and killed all his mood for any kind of enjoyment. I took my second half day leave on this day!
We caught the movie, Julia & Julie ("Bon Appetit".. Nice! Gonna grab the book.. hehe..), walked around the mall for a while till it's time to pick up Rio Junior from his facial and went to choose and buy a special birthday cake for the night, you can't find another one exactly the same...hehe.. It's a cake for anyone and everyone!.. ;p..

"Help me work out the pros and cons of owning a second hand car?" A question that made me fell off my seat...*roll my eyes*...sigh.. No pros, only cons.. Pros will be valid only if you can afford it..

She has left..

Aye Aye Soh just left Singapore and went back to her hometown this morning.. All of us went to send her off.. A good domestic helper like her is hard to come by...hope the next helper that my bro and SIL will be employing is as good as her...:).. The teaching, trusting and complaining process starts again.. will certainly take some time.. no one is perfect anyway..

09102009

Took my first half day leave to catch up with my gfs whom I used to work together in my ex-coy for hi-tea cum chit chat session, 2 out of 3 brought their elder princesses along (cos they are on their maternity leave). The hi-tea was kinda disapppointing but we were not exactly meeting up for the food, more of catching up so it's okay. We chatted and walked around the malls before gg home..

Lotsa changes at my ex-coy, lower staff morale and more work opportunities for the team. Good to know that there has been an increase in the work opportunities despite the crisis but I think there is a pressing need to boost staff morale and think of how to retain the staff in order to support the increased workload...

At the new coy now, workload ain't lesser! In fact, I was welcomed with new challenges since 17th August which resulted in increased stress due to the steep learning curve for me! My exercise regime was disrupted, OTs plus daily "homework", finances going haywire due to unplanned costs at work resulting in increased usage of credit cards for my own entertainment, gosh! Basically, either way or at either place also equally taxing and stressful! Well, I didn't plan to move on to do less work anyway, mainly to have a change of working environment.. Time to take stock and put things back on track and as for the future, shall give myself a few years to arrive at my own 'verdict'..

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Since this date, I've been playing non-stop despite the fact that I brought lotsa work home to do.. hehe.. I am so sure that it'll be brought back to the office untouched.. haha.. "Jess ah, fun anot ah? Bringing the work to and fro office?!"..

So where did I go? Hmm...

Sat ~ French lesson ~ Fren's newborn baby lunch celeb ~ Rotted at Mum's ~ Home to do chores ~ Dine and wine @ The Denise Wine Shop.... Sun ~ Visit doc ~ breakfast at Picotin ~ Rot at home ~ KLKK @ Downtown East NTUC and dranked teh ~ Steamboat dinner and played Uno/Dai-di at fren's new place.. Eventful hor...heehee...

Had wanted to revisit Rider's Cafe but it was fully booked so we decided to go Picotin instead.. It was nice, I had my french breakfast set while the Mister had the English Breakfast set and my sis and BIL had the simple breakfast sets (waffle / french toasts)...YumYum... *Missed the times my sis and I prepared french toasts (at times, pancakes) for breakfast for our family together*.. sigh..

Still have a few other places to check out and have early breakfast/brunch, recommendable to peeps who don't take public transport.. keke..

Time to write my to-do list (I gathered that this is faster than doing.. haha.. and good attempt to ease my guilt) then pack my "school bag" for tomorrow before ZzzZZZzzz.. Good night in advance to dudes and dudads.. ;p..

First times...

It was my first time eating ginger-vinegar-pig-trotters which I kept singing praises about it.. and asked for more, more and more! My gf's mum's fren made some for her and she shared it with all of us. I liked it b'cos the vinegar taste wasn't that strong and it was infact really tasty! I tried the pig's skin for the first time too so I'm "collagen rich" for a while.. haha...

I even tabao-ed the gravy home, can you believe it?! And it was my dinner for last Sunday.. I added some meat and hard boil eggs to the gravy and allowed it to simmer for some time before eating it with plain white rice! Yummy!

The Mister didn't really like the pig-trotters thingy so he had this (Leftover Jap curry from the last time we cooked it.. oops..)..

We also chatted with my gf's mum the receipe for the pig trotters thingy and she told us about her cooking session at her fren's place, where she learnt how to make gyozas.. We were enthu and said, maybe we can do it together.. haha... sounds so nice and fun.. but dunno if it is really possible anot.. hmm...

Lotsa "first times" since August 17th apart from this also.. good or bad.. depends on how one looks at it.. so far I am optimistic..

So fun!

Kids these days are so fortunate, lotsa new stuffs specially created for them and places-with-kids-in-mind that the parents can bring their kids for fun learning!

Of late, I was introduced to these kiddo places known as 'Go! Go! Bambini!' @ Dempsey, Polliwogs @ ECP and 'Fidgets' @ Turf City! Who knows, there may be more out there... Those with kiddos, nieces, nephews.. you know where to head to on weekends when u wanna relaz as your kids entertain themselves (provided they are old enough to take care of themselves in the crazy playground)? Otherwise, the parents should stay closely with their kids..

We tagged along to Polliwogs yesterday and wow! The kiddos seemed to have alot of fun and so did I, a big big girl! I loved the slides best, occassionally I came down the slide, with either Elsie or Chloe "safely-belted" in my arms.. Wooh-ooh! I landed on my butt with a little thud-thud before coming to a full stop.. haha.. so silly but damn fun!

After about an hour of play, I can see tiredness setting in for the princesses, maybe "power" running lower cos almost time for their milk so we took a break for them to "power-up!" But the play for 1.5 hours was closing in so we decided to continue relax and help the princesses freshen up before leaving the place.. :(...

My sis and BIL joined us for dinner @ Kenny Rogers and we had a small walkabout with the princesses after dinner to aid digestion.. hehe.. It's as if Marina Square Central stage area was their new playground! They were simply oblivious to whatever is going around and just kept walking and walking and walking.. They were really tired by the end of the day but I'm sure they enjoyed the day out cos I did! ;).. hehe..

I was overwhelmed with work for the past week so this playtime with the kiddos made me forget everything for a while which was therapeutic! Phew...
