Happy moo-moo year 2009! This year's Chinese New Year is quieter... somehow...
Reunion dinner..As usual, went for renunion lunch at dar dar's place and realised that dar dar's mum has a green thumb! How pretty! The flowers bloomed at the right time and it sure brightens up the dull corridor. I think it's probably the prettiest plant along that corrider too. His mum said there were people eyeing on the plants and wanted to get the seeds from her.
At my end, my mum cooked lesser so there is less wastage of food which I have always hoped for. This way we won't be pressured to eat alot and feel damn bloated. Yeah! After the reunion dinner, just lazed around my mum's and watched tv. Had wanted to go Chinatown after midnight to walk around but as it was drizzling and the weather was so cooling, we decided to go home and rest early... lazy bums...
CNY visiting.. For dar dar's side, same places to visit with a new addition to the list as instructed by his parents. I think the few places which we all enjoy more are his fifth aunt's place, third aunt's place and this new addition! The folks are more chatty and the cousins are around our age. The rest we went were really quiet, no one is interested to talk, so we simply eat, drink, use the toilet and go. Going on behalf of folks is a bad idea unless I am personally close to the folks or there is at least a talkative someone to ease the tension/silence...
For my side, less people moving around for visiting but with the addition of the twins, the attention is on them.. ;p.. The girls need some time to warm up and this is perhaps a good time for them to get used to different environment and new faces.. Luckily, I have cousins who are around our age and more chatty.
The annual affair, to go to Bright Hill temple on 2nd day of CNY to pay respects to my grandmother and eat my fav mee-sua but again, not the way I like it. I like the thick and gluey taste but that can only happen after it is simmered for a while. Look forward to having the mee-sua the way I remembered it to be...
We tried to be innovative at my cousin's place.. Kopi-O with "kok-chai".. versus the Latte with cookies.. *dip-dip*.. hee..
Okie dokie, back to work after the short CNY break yesterday which also means that the January peak is almost over.. yeah! Gonna have some more friends-friends visiting over this weekend and that's all for the CNY! Yeah! I can finally start hitting the gym regularly again... ;)... hooray!
Bon anniversaire a moi! On my lunar birthday, had mee-sua-nnggg but it was not cooked the way I wanted it to be (cos it was cooked by someone else)... :(
Had 2 pleasant surprises on my birthday after the clock struck midnight! I was so excited and my mind was so alert that I couldn't sleep, so I decided to surf net, facebook, blog etc.. :p
This is the first surprise..
Since I was on leave on my birthay, I decided to try out something refreshing and the outcome was pretty good.. you will know when you see me... :)..
Dar dar was on reservist but managed to return at night so we went out for dinner at Earl Swensen's, somehow it didn't taste as good as the first time we went.
Pressies received, a membership card holder, a watch box, a new Wii game and...
That particular weekend we met up with Les and Nee and went for lunch at Hog's Breath Cafe Vivocity. Had liked the American decor and the food was good and we tried the local style crab cakes. Very different from the one I had in San Francisco but still taste nice.
Sucker for Prataz..Mr Coin Prataz has made a comeback..
And I am in love with this plain prataz (see below).. like in the the olden times, crispy prata where they will puff it up with their hands when the prataz is ready! This is it!
A new found place to have my la-teh sessions with friends... parking was easy, windy area and the teh is just nice for my not-so-sweet taste buds.. perfect, shall go again to see if the 'standard' fluctuates?.. Yummy!
Tax Party 2009
Our annual Tax Party 2009 is here again and I like the theme for this year! Masquerade! Had always fantasized about having such a party, so full of 神秘 感 provided everyone puts on their beautiful masks!

Wow.. high tech cabby..On a cab ride from client's place back to office and were so lucky to board this cab.. high tech guy.. nice sound system and all.. but Singapore ain't a big city where u can surf for long or wat.. by the time u set up ur laptop and connect to the internet, 5-10mins gone and you will be reaching your destination real soon... but still very innovative.. hehe..

Juiced Rawbars... for those who like or never liked salads, you will certainly be 'poisoned' after one try! And any other salads you try will never meet up to this one.. haha.. 5 stars for this..
Their salads cost S$8.50 (lettuce included) and up to 6 sides that you can add to it. However, if you would like to add chicken, salmon, tuna etc, you will need to pay an additional S$2.
Like the one in the pics below, it costs S$10.50 and I can have it for two meals. Maybe I'm a small eater but I must say they are generous with the servings and the stuffs are really fresh and chilled! Yummylicious!
New Year 2009... before and after.. On the fateful day that I returned from my vacation and at this moment when I'm typing this blog, my right foot is in bandage cos I had to fall down the stairs. I had a 5 days break before I resume work but NOW I am grounded. I had actually planned to do many things during the 5 days but I'm not in the best of moods and state to do anything anymore! So I decided to stay home to nurse the silly sprain, in hope for the sprain to recover faster and the pain be brought down to a minimum before I resume work next week. To make things worse, January is going to be a hectic month for me and I will not be able to rush around to resume my exercise regime cos of the injury.. sigh... Why am I so clumsy?! sigh..
I had wanted to log onto my laptop to do some work also but I can't recall any of my passwords at all.. sigh.. guess it was trying to tell me something... yeah... haha..
This is definitely not the way I would like to celebrate my New Year's Eve and the New Year! Given my condition, there is only one thing I can do and that is this..

Had wanted to plan some new year resolutions but I realised that I am not very good at achieving them so no point settting any this year.. play by ear...
