What did I do on the eve of my birthday?

It's a "ritual" for me to take leave on my birthday but this year my birthday was on a weekend so I took leave on the eve of my birthday.. haha.. I couldn't explain why. Anyways, when I decide to take leave on my birthday, I would usually have planned the day but this year, I had no plans and thought since it's MY day, I must do something that I like or simply pamper myself.

Woke up and sent hubby to work.
Headed home.
Had wanted to do something special pour ma seour but ended up not doing it.
My bed was calling out to me to ZzzZzz, so I succumbed to it..
ZzZzZzzZZZZZ.. for a good 2 hours or so..
Woke up, feeling groggy and silly..
Still not knowing what to do...

This empty and aimless feeling sucks, but I didn't want to push myself too hard and question myself what I want to do today so that I can maximise my leave.

Well, took out my favourite recipe books and flipped it over and over again hoping that one of the pages would stir up my desire to wanna prepare that recipe and the only one that did was to bake a chocolate cake! So I thought baking a cake for myself on my birthday would be cool!

Slowly picked up my lazy ass and drove to buy the ingredients that I don't have and decided to go over to my mum's with some snacks for tea and say hi to my cutie babes and bake my cake there and then.

I loved the way I took things nice and slow and yes, the baking turned out pretty well too!

Left my mum's to pick up dar dar and went home to freshen up for our dinner date with ma seour et son mari. Dinner was at Le Bistrot, we had wanted to try french onion soup gratinee in Singapore since we came back and finally we did. The soup was really nice but I would have preferred the one I had in Paris. We ordered champagne to go with our dinner in celebration of our birthdays for each other!Oh, did I mention, our birthdays are just 3 days apart.. January babies alright.. independent and tough ladies, don't mess with us!...haha..

Well, the day passed by really fast but I enjoyed this day lots!
