We can visualise and imagine..

We had the dinner that we had always wanted to try to see whether it will work for us and this is the dinner.. a simple zi-char dinner for two at Blk 644 coffee shop...

Hotplate toufu (tie-ban-dou-fu) [For us]

Prawn & meat balls (hae-zo) [For him]

Salty vegetable soup (xian-cai-tang) [For her]

2 plates of rice

Leftover - a plate of rice

Price : S$21

We agreed that we have over-ordered as we felt very full from the dinner. Well, at least we know that we should order lesser next time we do such a dinner.

We can simply visualise and imagine ourselves walking out to the coffeeshop to have such dinners when we are older and old, especially when we have no dependents so it's just me and him.. free and easy.. Our friends/siblings would likely be married and occupied with their own lives/kids. So if we maintain an average level of affluence, such dinners should be within our means. Alternatively, we think sharing a packet of horfun, hokkien mee, ee-mee or fried rice with egg etc. would serve our stomachs well too!

We hope that we will remain active and are fit enough to do our runs/swims (shorter distance) after work and before dinner or maybe early in the mornings since older peeps tend to wake up earlier.. And after dinner, we can continue to hold hands and stroll in the parks to aid digestion.. heehee.. nice thoughts..

Hmm... maybe we can try to work out our retirement funds on such basis.. haha.. especially when we have no dependents (to expect support, to add on to their burden by living off them or to piss them off by expecting to live off them.. haha...or maybe not).. With or without dependents, everyone must plan for themselves and be as independent as possible.. not?..
