MJR gathering
The long awaited gathering with the MJRians has happened, today! Thanks to Albert, Christina and Handi for arranging this using facebook.
We arranged dinner at Yum Cha restaurant and through facebook there were supposed to be about 20 persons (11 confirmedx plus 9 maybes). The final turnout was 9 which I think was pretty good still. I enjoyed every moment of it, everyone was comfortable with everyone, chatty and humorous. Updates flying around about each other and those who were unable to make it. We shared updates and those unforgettable memories in MJR. All these do make us sound old but it's okay. we could only have grown older and wiser instead of the other way round like in Benjamin Buttons.
So who came?
Albert
Handi
Christina
Yaocheng
Zhongyi
Mun Fai
Weiquan
Jeslyn.. et..
Moi
Without all of these dear friends who came by for the dinner, this would not have been possible. Really glad to know everyone and the others who could not make it are doing well in life, in one way or another. And also realised that each of us is part of a certain clique and we all seemed like rep from each clique, haha.. this is our first "committee" meeting.. hehe..
Seriously, to make such a gathering happen, we need a venue. A venue that provides flexibility and has a nice environment for all to interact freely and comfortably. Yum Cha is a good place, courtesy of Albert. (Thanks! thanks!) The food was nice and I'm so thinking of going for dim sum breakfast with my dar dar.
This is a gathering after 15 years from the time we graduated. Hope it won't be another 15 years till we meet again. Let's keep this going ppl.. Yum Cha is a good place, it is within walking distance from my office and I can workout before I feast! haha.. but anywhere is fine so long as it can accomodate all of us. Super full from the dinner but luckily I get to walk back to my office which aids in my digestion. Whatever it is, really gotta stop eating so much... stomach cannot take it anymore.. ;).. stomach is bursting and so here I am, blogging instead of sleeping...
