After spending a lazy Sunday morning at home blogging, doing some work and settling some chores, we decided to go for the walk after our lunch when it's finally sunny after a gloomy morning! :)
This trail will bring you through different stages of mature secondary forest and you will reach this free-standing suspension bridge that connects the two highest points (Bukit Peirce and Bukit Kalang) in MacRitchie and offers a bird's eye view of the forest canopy. The total length of the walkway is about 250m and its height from the forest floor varies, with the highest point at 25m. The distance to the entrance of the TreeTop Walk is approximately 4.5 km from the MacRitchie Reservoir Park and 2.5 km from the carpark at Venus Drive. Therefore, a round trip including the TreeTop Walk is about 7 to 10 km.
We started from the Venus Drive and the distance to the entrance is not 2.5km from that point, it's definitely more than that but who cares about the distance. We just kept walking and snapped photos along the way.
We were here!
Pretty?!
Time for me to get another new pair of sneakers! hehe..
The entire trail was really nice to walk along as we chat. Along the trail, we saw monkeys, chameleons and many butterflies. I am kinda scared of butterflies cos I've heard stories about them but I braved through the entire trail and prayed they don't land on me... haha.. dar dar took video of me as I walked and tried to avoid the butterflies.. hng! *hands on my waist* Well, as we were walking back to our starting point, the weather became gloomy again but lucky us managed to reach our car before it started to rain heavily. It is raining cats and dogs right now as I typed this entry, coupled with thunder and lightning! *sian*
The weather these days is so unpredictable and affecting my outdoor activities on weekends.. sigh.. Mr Ti-Gong, get a life!
