Yeah! Ritz junior have company! My bro and wifey shifted over to my place because they would like to provide more space for their newborn twins and a maid which they will be employing soon as the wifey's maternity leave will be fully utilised by 31 August 2008. The move was carried out pretty efficiently within a week after informing Papa Chua and Mama Chua. This was because the lunar 7th month so nicely coincides with the entire month of August and given the "pandan" issue of moving during the lunar 7th month, they scheduled to shift on the last weekend of the month of July.My dear friends, Chuiming and Xintian provided us with transport and also volunteered labour to shift the solid and heavy furniture which would have been a very tough task for my SO and bro if not for Chuiming. Really great to have their help to make the shift so smooth and with no casualties! (Such friends where to find? Give you all a kiss.. muacks!.. haha..)
Ritz junior is soOoo happy cos she will have the company of so many people and of course, Elsie and Chloe to play with throughout the day. Me and my SO are always so busy so we hardly spend time with Ritz junior. We were kinda unfair to Ritz junior cos we tend to spend more time with Rio junior only...you know why lah.. Oh well, maybe when I am older and too fat to move, I will spend more time with Ritz junior... haha.. Well, people who know me will know that I'm very happy too because I love kids, be it playing with them, feeding them, changing their diapers, coaxing them when they are cranky or simply coaxing them to sleep. I enjoy every second of the process and derive lotsa joy doing all that. Some friends think that I don't like kids when I told them of my decision to not having any children of my own. Well, I just have to say that loving the company of kids doesn't mean you need to have babies. They are mutually exclusive. As my dar and I would think, "having babies doesn't mean that you like the children or even signify how much you love your other half". It's probably the pressure from the usual traditions, religious beliefs, pressure from parents/parents-in-law or peers that result in you wanting a kid. It loses its meaning altogether if that's why you are doing it. It's satisfying to see the smile on the baby princesses' petite faces when their needs are taken care of. I'm thankful for the opportunities that I get to interact with my friends and their kids and now my nieces. Contented with being simply Auntie Jess, CoOL coOl Jess or Cuckoo Jess (some may think) or maybe Jess yi-yi. :) But I try to be sensitive and wary of my actions too, cos there is only a very fine line between being helpful and being kaypoh/intruding into other ppl's privacy, which may result in unnecessary conflicts and that is the last thing I want. ;).. Now my house is livelier with the baby princesses around. Daily, my mum, youngest bro and Cally will come over and hang around my place for the day or for dinner at night after work, and head for home after that. For your information, , my house is within walking distance from my parents, only a few blocks away! ;)..
Nice authentic restaurant - Strongly recommendedRemember my Shanghai expedition? Our dear friend Wang Noh arranged a gathering for all 10 of us and 7 of us made it! Not bad.. 70% attendance... We went to this nice Teochew restaurant at Macpherson area for dinner! You may miss the place because the outlook of the restaurant is not eye-catching at all and the full length glass panels are all covered by curtains except for the door, half-covered.
Although, the restaurant dun have "outer-beauty" but it has "inner beauty". Here's our dinner menu.. Cold crab - "Very fresh though cold"Fried oyster egg - "Eggy and Crispy but I dun take oysters"Broccoli with prawns & capsicum - "I love this cos I like to take my greens! And the combi was just perfect"Braised goose meat with beancurd - "Tasty!"Big fat fish called "Dou chang" - "Never in my life have I seen such a big "chang-yu" placed right in front of me".. Fried hor fun - "Indescribable, the taste is very special!"
OOoOrrHH.. Ni... - "Hoho.. ooorrhhh ni lovers must try this!"
All the dishes were great! Every dish received good comments from all of us. Had wanted to take photos of all the dishes but ended up eating before taking photos of it.. sigh.. cannot resist the food.. but managed to take a photo of one of the dishes.. the big fat fish.. this is way out of proportion as compared to the chang-yu that my mum cooks..
The ambience of this restaurant is very much like those authentic Chinese restaurants. A recommended place to bring your folks for dinner. Overall, ****..
Here's the address if you wanna try! I miss the Oooorrrhhhhh-Ni.. so will surely pop by one of these days just to buy it home for my family to try... hee...

After the sumptuous dinner, we went to sing karaoke at K-Box Kallang Leisure Park. To our surprise, we were given a super big room where the 7 of us were only able to occupy a small corner of the room. The MTVs were projected on the wall, very shiok.. but the room is way too big. Sang till late.. very enjoyable!
Look how scattered we were seated in the room?
Can identify who's the singer and what's the name of the song?
Wii-oo-wii time Guess what.. I can now rock n' roll on my Wii.. wooh-ooh!!! And keep fit as well..
Guitar Heroes III on Wii, wireless guitar is out! So without any delay, I bought the game bundle. A new version of GH will be released soon and it's called the Aerosmith version! Not that I'm a fan of Aerosmith but I'm definitely going to get it because the guitar that comes with this version looks so cool!
See!
Here's a close up on our guitars!
That's not all! I also bought Wii FIT to keep fit and have fun! Fun factor ****
My SO don't usually like to play games but he's into GH3 and Wii FIT which is great! Cos I have a challenger... See how happy he is pairing up with his buddy, as main and lead guitarists.. cool!
We also have another friend, Joyce, who has Wii and we will occasionally pop by her place to play. Recently, we went over to her place to play her new game, Mariokart (I don't have this game..sobs..sobs.. yet?). You can find this game in arcade centers but it's now available on Wii. Fun element *****! We played in a group of 4, very exciting! Maybe I should buy one for myself also but it's more fun to play in a group so maybe not at the moment. I can always pop by Joyce's house to play!
Really going goo-goo-ga-ga over these games causing the playful ME to lose control, it's got therapeutic power when you feel stress or unhappy..
